The pirates finshed the season with 45 points, a winning percentage of %.563, a home record of 14-5-1 our best in years we also saw 12 rookie players play in their first Junior C season and a team with an avg age of just over 17 years they did a hell of a job everyone should be proud of them.
Congrats also goes out to our League award nominees, Hayden McInroy, Jack Davison and Josh Faganm, good luck boys.
We should also take this time to thank our overage Captains Cam Cleave and Cale Evans, Cam and Cale have been a pirates for 4+ seasons and gave it their all each game.
Cam brought a vocal leadership to the team always keeping the boys pumped as well as an on ice physical presence he was a lock to be Captain in his final season the best of his Junior C career, Cam also was our most dedicated player to community envolvment.
Cam finished his season with 23 pts 10 goals 13 assists and only 67 penalty mins. in 34 games as well as his first ever hat trick in junior hockey.
Cale was your quiet captain vocal when he needed to be, but showed his leadership on the ice with hard work grinding and relentless ability to get to the puck, Cale didnt finish the year with the Pirates because of work commitments but anyone who knew him knows he would of been there if he could.
Cale had 13 pts in 20 games this season with only 6 penalty mins. previous 2 seasons he never finished with less than 20 points as well the last 3 seasons combined only had 32 penalty minutes.

With Campbellfords loss last night to PortHope the Pirates have secured a playoff spot while being up 4 points on Campbellford with only 2 games left for each team the best Campbellford can do is Tie the pirates in points with 41 if Picton loses their remaining 2 games.
The tie breaking rules are if 2 teams are tied at the end of the season the team with the MOST wins overall would get in, if they are tied in wins then it would be the team with the best head to head record.
With Campbellford winning their last 2 games it would only give them 19 wins while Picton sits with 20 with the 1 more win it secures Picton in 4th and they will face Napanee in the 1st round unless the raiders manage to lose all their remaining games and Amherstview wins all theirs. The Pirates finished the 8 game Schedule with Napanee 4-4

A unanimous vote by the members of the Empire B Jr. C Hockey League (EJCHL) on Monday evening shows just how much we can help in the time of a crisis.
The EJCHL's end of the year banquet has been cancelled this year, instead, a donation of $1000 will be made to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Members of the Amherstview Jets, Campbellford Rebels, Frontenac Flyers, Napanee Raiders, Picton Pirates and the Port Hope Panthers decided it best to support the efforts to help out in a country devastated by a recent earthquake.
A cheque made out to the Red Cross will be presented prior to the face off at the first game of the EJCHL finals. As well, the trophy winners, who would have been unveiled and honoured at the banquet, will be presented with their awards.
